Duties and Responsibilities of JAVA Intern/Trainee/Entry-Level:

• Participate in the induction course and report progress to the mentor.

• Design, develop and document a pet project.

• Work with or extend existing features to implement client requirements -- Coding & Debugging.

• Write test cases to verify functionalities being developed.

• Documentation of the tasks done.

• Communicate with team & other stakeholders as per required.

• Report progress updates to Team Lead/Project Manager.

• Learn the essential skills for tasks involved.

• Perform other related duties as per required or assigned by management.

• Begin understanding features and code contribution to the commercial projects.

Technical Requirement:

• Strong understanding of Core Java 7/8+ (is a must).

• Knowledge of Relational Database Queries.

• Basic Knowledge of Java web applications.

• Basic Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.

• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and JSON/XML.

• Basic Knowledge of Unit Testing

• Basic Knowledge of OOP.

• Knowledge of frameworks like JSF 2+ or Spring ( is a plus)

• Experience or Knowledge of ORMs particularly JPA+Hibernate ( is a plus), EclipseLink.

• Basic Knowledge of JPQL (Criteria API is a plus).

• Knowledge of other OOP languages(nice to have).

• Basic Knowledge of Source Code Versioning tools.

• Basic Knowledge of JavaEE certified web-application servers.

• Good UI/UX design & implementation ( is a plus).

• Experience of Linux or Unix like systems (is a plus).

• Experience/Knowledge of JavaEE6/7+ certified web-application server administration.
