WVI started its long-term development programme in Nepal since 2001 to contribute for well-being of children. Currently, WVI Nepal is operating in 16 districts (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Sindhuli, Udayapur, Rautahat, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Jumla, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Lamjung, Doti, Bajhang, Achham, Kailali and Kanchanpur) of 6 provinces in Nepal.

World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal), with support World Vision US, and partnership with Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur, is implementing a project-Community Social Behaviour Change (SBCC) for the Improved reading Outcomes a goal ‘Build evidence on strengthening caregiver and community behaviors to support and sustain reading practices in early grades. The project is anchored in the Unlock Literacy project model that includes early grade literacy, responsive caregiving, holistic development of children, health and nutrition, early simulation of the most vulnerable children. So here we are seeking to capture evidence of its interventions in 5 wards of Municipality on behavior change in the care givers of the childrens, communities in the form of best practices and success stories.

Purpose of the consultancy

The purpose of this consultancy is to gather Best Practices & Video Documentary as evidences on impacts being made through SBCC project in Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur district. Impacts should be gathered in the form of best practices and video documentary which should be supplemented by photos. Stories should be in English and Nepali languages.

Qualification of the consultant

The consultant should possess the following qualification and work experiences:

• Experienced in collecting and developing best practices and video documentary on Education sector & learning achievements issues.
• Experienced in gathering compiling best practices, action photographs with captions and videos.
• Good command over English and Nepali languages,
• Knowledge of community development and competent in understanding development works.
• Able to deliver outputs on time.
• Consultant with prior working experience with World Vision in similar assignment will be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct meeting/s with project team as and when needed.
• Coordinate with field project staffs and stakeholders to capture best practices and video documentary.
• Travel to fields to gather and prepare evidences on the impacts of projects.
• Draft and finalize best practices from field along with photographs and videos in consultation with project team.
• Stories should be reviewed by language experts
• Caption of photos should be clearly mentioned
• Consultant should develop a summary report after the completion of work.

Deliverables

• 20 Numbers of Best Practices with quality photo described as caption.
• 20 shots of quality video documentary in 3-5 minutes with key deliverables message.
• Stories should be in Nepali with English subtitles.
• At least 4 photographs for each Best practice.
• Provide electronic copies of the Best Practices and video documentary.
• Design of the best practice and video documentary should be completed by selected consultant/firms.
• Before printing and final sharing, developed matter should be shared to WVI Nepal Communication team for review.
